Seattle based mostly laptop schooling nonprofit Code.org is teaming with the British rock band Coldplay for a contest aimed toward inspiring extra kids to study coding via the thrill of music and dancing.
The hassle — hashtagged as #codeplay on social media — launched final week and kids world wide can enter for an opportunity to win Coldplay live shows tickets or get a classroom video chat with the band.
Code.org is encouraging kids to “be a part of the Dance Social gathering” by coding choreography to the Coldplay single “Larger Energy.” Dance Social gathering teaches kids to code in a 10-step tutorial. Creations might be posted on social media or submitted to Code.org and the nonprofit will be a part of the band in sharing and commenting on their favorites.
Coldplay promoted the contest on Fb. In each metropolis on the band’s “Music of the Spheres” tour, two college students and two chaperones will likely be picked to obtain free tickets to the live performance.
