The Federal Commerce Fee has filed a lawsuit to dam Lockheed Martin’s $4.4 billion acquisition of Aerojet Rocketdyne, saying that the deal would “give Lockheed the flexibility to chop off different protection contractors from the essential elements they should construct competing missiles.” On this week’s submitting, the FTC says Lockheed has already sought unsuccessfully to maintain Aerojet from offering essential propulsion applied sciences to Lockheed’s rivals. In response, Lockheed Martin notes that it “might elect to defend the lawsuit or terminate the merger settlement.” Aerojet’s facility in Redmond, Wash., performs a lead position in constructing in-space propulsion programs.
