RealWear, which builds head-mounted headsets for frontline workers, lands $23.5M

RealWear, a Vancouver, Wash.-based startup that sells “assisted actuality” good gadgets utilized by frontline staff, closed a $23.5 million spherical. Firms similar to Exxon Mobil, Goodyear, and others use RealWear’s gadgets. In a press launch, the corporate stated it’s shifting “from a hardware-centric to a platform-centric firm.” RealWear is led by chairman and CEO Andrew Chrostowski. Qualcomm Ventures, Kopin and Columbia Ventures Company additionally invested within the Sequence C spherical led by Foundry Group.
