Amazon rolls out big Prime Video redesign

Prime Video is getting a makeover. Amazon announced Monday it is rolling out a new look and feel for its streaming service on “living room devices,” including Fire TV, and also its Android app. The redesign takes some inspiration from other streaming platforms — the navigation bar is moving to the left side, for example, and there’s a new Top 10 list to highlight trending content. It’s been a busy year for Amazon’s video arm with the $8.45 billion MGM acquisition closing; the debut of a “Lord of the Rings” series; another season of Thursday Night Football; and more.
